Garden and Highland Community Block Club is a not-for-profit charitable organization. It is a block club that is a group of people who live on certain blocks, or within a specific neighborhood who is organized to achieve shared goals for the betterment of the community. We connect with each other to strengthen our neighborhood, sharing our ideas of what can be done and combining talents to make it happen.

Pastor Gwendolyn Walker, Founder & President
Gwendolyn "Sheneda" Walker, is the founder and president of Garden and Highland Community Block Club. She is also the founder and Apostle for Royal Christian Faith Center a non- denominational ministry The Apostle holds two Bachelor degree, a Associate degree, and several certificates. She is a preacher, entrepreneur, mentor, consultant, and visionary. Apostle Walker also known as Pastor Sheneda is married with three children and thirteen grandchildren.
She has a passion to help within the Highland Community also know as the North End. Apostle Walker is working with neighbors to build a strong block club to rebuild the community.
Assistant Treasurer Betty Coleman
Ms. Betty Coleman, a woman of integrity and a God fearing woman, She is the mother of six children and grandmother of over a dozen. Ms. Coleman retired in 2011. She holds an an Associated degree from NCCC in Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. She also has credentials from Kelley's Business Institute in Secretarial and Business and is a faithful member of the Garden & Highland Community Block Club Inc.
Treasurer Pastor Charles Searcy
Rev Charles Searcy Sr. is married, a father and grandfather. He served in the military for 22yrs. Rev Searcy holds a BA degree in Religious Studies, minor in Social Work from NU and a Dual Masters degree in Christian Counseling & Education from Jackson Theological Seminary. He is a member of various organization and has received several rewards. Rev Searcy, is a faithful member of Garden & Highland Community Block Club Inc.
2nd Vice President Nicole Laster
Ms. Nicole Laster, is a young lady motivated and inspiring to others in and out of her community. She is a faithful worker at her church and on her job. Nicole is an entrepreneur. She is a member of several organization and sits on a few of their boards. Nicole is determined to play a part in helping the community. She is the faithful member of Garden & Highland Community Block Club Inc.
